Budapest Tourism Information Points

The Budapest Tourist Information Points are the only official tourist offices in Budapest.

In each of these offices of the tourism point of Budapest you can find  free maps of the city, many lists of activities, leaflets and free magazines.

In particular you can also find and buy the Budapest Card which offers many discounts for public transport and cultural visits to Budapest.

BUDAPEST CARD

The city of Budapest offers the Budapest Card which ensures:

Free use of Budapest public transport.
Free admission to 17 Budapest Museums.
– discounts of up to 50% for more than 80 monuments, events, …
Several offer exist depending on the length of your stay.
The 24h cards (≈18 €), 48h (≈28 €) and others (72h, 96h, 120h) can be advantageous especially if you plan to visit the monuments and museums that are part of the program of reduction of these cards.

Two offices of the Budapest Tourism Information Points are located in Pest.

1) In the city center:
Near the main square Déak you will find the pedestrian street Sütő where number 2 is Budapest’s biggest tourist office.

This Tourist Office is open daily from 08:00 to 20:00.
The nearest Metro and Tram stations are Deák Tér stations.

2) Near the Heroes’ Square in Pest:

An office of the tourist office is in the building of the Skating rink of Városliget.

This Tourist Office is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00.
Address: Olof Palme sétány 5., 14th district.

  • At Terminal 2A arrival level, open daily from 08:00 to 22:00.
  • Terminal 2B, arrival level, open daily from 10:00 to 22:00.

Two offices of the Budapest Tourism Information Points are located in Buda:

  • Budavár (Pavilion of the Holy Trinity Square).
    Address: Tárnok u. 15., 1st district.
    Opening hours: every day from 9:00 to 18:00.
  • Széchenyi National Library.
    Address: Budai Vár, Szent György tér 4-5-6, 1st district.
    Open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00.
